These
days a group of people namely the marriage celebrants are making marriages and
weddings very easy and a fun-filled affair. But the increasing number of the
same people makes it a little grueling to make out the best among them. To make
your selection process easier, we have compiled a list of questionnaire that
you should ask to a particular celebrant and then decide for yourself who you
want to choose.
What is that particular exclusive service
that you provide and the others don’t?
In
reality all of them provide more or less the same services. But then some are
much more available to the clients at the time of their needs. This
differentiates them an Auckland marriage
celebrant can be considered good if does it for you and you can have
his back whenever you need. Again another quality which makes them a better
choice is that they consult you before finalizing every arrangement regarding a
ceremony.
How flexible are you regarding the places I
choose to get married?
This
is particularly very important. Not every Auckland wedding celebrant is
flexible with every destination. So ask them regarding this beforehand if you
already have a place in mind.
What will be the expenses?
Here
again it is important to remember that some celebrants are more expensive than
the others. But they can be more available and have more experience. So always
ask them the rates and compare them with the other celebrants before finalizing
them.
Who all are required to be the witnesses?
Most
celebrants allow anyone to be a witness to your special moments, even children,
as the rules say. Children can be a witness but they should have a fair
understanding of the ceremonies. But in case a celebrant does not allow
children then he may be cited with the laws of the marriage act showing that
age is not a bar to become a witness.
What are the different types of marriage ceremonies available?
Generally
speaking there are two types of ceremonies one that is held by the Registrar of
Marriage in his office and the other which is authorized by a celebrant in any
place other than the registrar's office.
How do I get my marriage license?
1.
An application for the license needs to be made to the Registrar of Marriages
stating that both the man and wife are legally adults, i.e. above 16 years of
age.
2.
The license is issued in 3 days.
3.
The license is valid for around 30 months after it is issued.
Note
that the celebrants are supposed to help you with the issue. But then again it
is important for you to make them to do it.
How do I recognize a marriage celebrant to be authorized?
A marriage
celebrant is generally appointed by the Registrar General. Search online to
find a list of celebrants. But make sure that your celebrant shows you his
registration. So ask for it from him.
